Portraits and Original Still Life Paintings in Colored Pencil

Ordering Information

• I work from photographs—the larger the better. Photos smaller than 4 x 6 are too small to see detail.  When selecting a photo, I usually look for a candid shot, although I have used many studio or posed photographs over the years. 
• Photos should be clear and show details of face. 
• Photos taken in natural light—without flash are better, but I have worked with both.
• When you send me a photo, please keep a copy for yourself. I would hate to lose the one and only photo of a beloved family member!
• You may also email a jpeg file.
• If you would like a color portrait done from  black and white photo the next highest price will apply.
• The paper I use is either a neutral grey or white depending on subject.

• A 50% deposit is required at the time of commission with the balance due upon completion of the portrait.
• Accepted forms of payment are checks,money orders, or credit cards through  . All checks must clear before work is started. 
• All portrait prices exclude shipping and insurance. I will notify you of the final cost when portrait is complete.
• A commission contract between the artist and client will be signed by both parties. 
• Price is for portrait only—matting and framing are not included.
• Portrait completion takes approximately 3 weeks depending on the complexity of the portrait. Upon receipt of deposit, you will be informed of a tentative start and completion date. This will depend on amount of portraits on order.
• Upon completion of portrait I will take a digital photo of it and email to you for review.
• Once final payment has been received, your portrait will be professionally packaged, insured and sent to you.
